A contemporary fit with Italian retro ease defines the L.B.M. 1911 SS ‘13 collection.
This season, L.B.M. 1911 is all about unlined, unstructured silhouettes in luxe fabrics, treated with a unique garment dying technique that creates a sun-washed look and a preppy-meets-Capri attitude.
Collection highlights include double-breasted washed denim blazers with peak collars, pinstripe jackets, and fitted five-button vests with colorful khakis. The white double-breasted suit tops the mix with its cool, clean impact.
Mixing colors, fabrics and textures—plaids, paisleys, stripes, dots and checks—are very unexpected, yet it all just works in the most simpatico manner. Meanwhile, topstitching on buttonholes and seams create a bit of subtle intrigue and Riviera signature style.
Accessories (outsourced for this shoot) lean towards the nautically inspired, laid-back look with straw fedoras, aviators and espadrilles. The seaside moves city side with strappy leather sandals, skinny plaid ties and paisley pocket squares.
Brightly hued roll-cuff trousers—in orange, sea blue and moss green—reflect the tones of the Mediterranean and the colorful houses set in the hillsides of Sorrento and Positano.
This season’s collection exudes a classic but cool elegance combined with impeccable tailoring that the Italians certainly do best.
